Job summary

KBR is seeking a Physical Therapist to support military personnel at Eielson AFB near Fairbanks, Alaska. This role focuses on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimization to maintain peak physical conditioning.

You will provide full PT services under Military Treatment Facility privileges, develop treatment programs from evaluations, and coordinate care with physicians. Relocation assistance up to $27,500 (minus any withheld taxes) and an annual retention bonus up to $18,250

Qualifications

• Master's degree in physical therapy or baccalaureate degree for pre-2002 graduates
• Graduation from CAPTE-approved college/university
• Active, full, unrestricted PT license
• Credentialing per service-specific requirements

We have been selected as a Large Prime Contractor by the Defense Health Agency to provide Medical Support Services at Medical Treatment Facility located in Eielson AFB near Fairbanks Alaska.

KBR is seeking a Physical Therapist to support military personnel in enhancing operational readiness and overall physical resilience. This position focuses on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimization for services members, ensuring they maintain peak physical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of physical therapist services in accordance with the scope of clinical privileges granted by the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
• Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on an evaluation of the patient.
• Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing various physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily-living activities, and in use of assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
• Administer soft tissue mobilization, applying knowledge of mobilization techniques and body physiology.
• Administer traction to relieve pain, using traction equipment.
• Record treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart and/or automated systems. Coordinate treatment with physician and other staff members to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment program and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of the patient's healthcare. Contact referring physicians regarding patient care concerns, as required.
• Perform prevention and wellness activities, education, screening, and promote positive health behaviors.

Required Education/Experience

Degree: Master's degree in physical therapy or Baccalaureate degree in physical therapy for graduates prior to January 1, 2002.

Education: Graduate from a college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).

Experience: As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the Service‑specific credentialing instructions.

Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapist.
