Job summary

Kelly Pediatric Therapy is seeking licensed Physical Therapists to serve in an Early Intervention program for infants and toddlers in the Dover, DE area. The role starts part time with potential to build to a full caseload and requires travel between clients.

Position is 1099 independent contracting with opportunities for on-site and off-site mentorship from Clinical Directors and Team Leaders, plus access to a rich library of testing tools and resources to support educational-based therapy

Qualifications

  • Valid state license as a Physical Therapist is required.
  • Clearances for Child Abuse, Federal, and State are required.

Responsibilities

  • Screen, assess, and evaluate students using appropriate tests and assessment instruments.
  • Plan and provide specialized physical therapy techniques to meet IEP goals.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to develop IEPs.
  • Evaluate progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
  • Collaborate with teachers to plan classroom-based activities.
  • Collaborate with parents in the physical therapy program.
  • Maintain reports and documentation per laws and school policy.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PT practices.

Job description

Kelly Pediatric Therapy is seeking Physical Therapists to provide services for a local Early Intervention Program (Infant/Toddler (ages 0-3) in and around Dover, DE.

*This position will start part time and will be able to build to a full caseload as desired.

*Travel is required between clients**

Responsibilities:
  • Screen, assess, and evaluate students using appropriate tests and assessment instruments.
  • Plan and provide appropriate specialized physical therapy techniques through individual and/or group sessions designed to meet the educational needs of the student consistent with physical therapy goals contained in Individual Education Plans (IEP).
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to develop IEPs.
  • Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom-based activities.
  • Collaborate with parents in the physical therapy program of their child.
  • Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required in accordance with federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and school policy to include documentation for the need for equipment and materials.
  • Meet the needs of all students effectively by working in partnership with other disciplines.
  • Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and school policy.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of research, theories, and practices associated with the Physical Therapy profession.
