Job summary

Powerback is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. We provide physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapies across settings, with a focus on improving lives for older adults, children, and families.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice.
• Master's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Master's in PT-related field with Bachelor's in Physical Therapy.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy + 5 years of PT experience.
• The qualifying PT degree earned outside the U.S. must be evaluated for US equivalence.
• Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to patients' residences.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students and support personnel per state licensure and standards.
• Adhere to department/patient treatment schedule and complete clinical and billing documentation.
• Attend patient care and staffing conferences and contribute to meetings.
• Make referrals to other disciplines to address patient needs.
• Consult with rehabilitation team to select appropriate therapeutic regimens.
• Adapt plan of care according to patient needs.
• Promote a safe environment and eliminate hazards.
• Order supplies and equipment as necessary.
• Maintain and report on equipment; ensure quality service.
• Provide patient-centered care with compassionate service.
• Evaluate patients through history, systems review, tests and measures to establish diagnoses and plan.
• Develop goals and methods with patient/caregivers; implement treatment plans.
• Include health and wellness programming in treatment plans.
• Perform home and community mobility assessments and make safety recommendations.
