Baptist Health Rehab Services is seeking a Physical Therapist Coordinator for a full-time day position. The role involves evaluating and treating patients, developing treatment plans, setting goals, and educating patients and families as part of the plan of care.
The coordinator will supervise PT assistants, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and assist with education of students and staff while ensuring care meets regulatory and hospital policies.
Baptist Health Rehab Services provides a full range of physical, occupational, and speech therapy services for all ages. Our therapists and assistants are trained in treating neurological, orthopedic, vestibular, lymphedema, pediatrics, industrial medicine, swallowing, and speech and language disorders.
Full-time, Days
The Team Coordinator is responsible for advancing the team’s quality of care, through in servicing, mentoring, and coordination of performance improvement projects. The physical therapist shall evaluate and treat patients, develop a treatment plan, and set goals for patients. Patient and family education is included in the treatment plan and goals. The PT will complete documentation according to applicable national and state regulations as well as hospital and departmental policies. The therapist will assist with the education of affiliating students, the PT staff, hospital staff, and the community at large. The therapist will appropriately delegate to and supervise physical therapist assistants and technicians. The therapist will participate in departmental performance improvement implementation. The therapist must demonstrate professional care appropriately and meet the needs of the patients with impaired mental abilities, vision, hearing, or mobility.
