POSITION : Physical Therapist

REQUIREMENTS :

- NYS Licensed Physical Therapist.

- Excellent clinical skills and effective verbal and written communication.

- Flexibility and ability to work with other professionals.

- Ability to function as a positive member of the educational team.

- Must be a current full-time Nassau BOCES Physical or Occupational Therapist.

DESCRIPTION :

Under the direction of the Coordinators of OT / PT Services, shall :

  1. Provide therapy services for students on assigned caseload.
  2. Serve as onsite clinical resource for OT / PT staff by sharing knowledge and techniques.
  3. Provide clinical supervision of therapy students during internships.
  4. Act as a liaison between the Coordinator of OT / PT and therapists in the building, maintaining lists of students awaiting evaluation or treatment.
  5. Participate in the budget process, working with building therapists and submitting recommendations.
  6. Provide clinical assistance to certified Therapy Assistants as needed.
  7. Perform all other duties assigned by the Coordinators of OT / PT Services.
