Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide direct patient care, including evaluation and treatment in accordance with the NYS Physical Therapy Practice Act and hospital policy.

You will supervise PTAs and rehabilitation aides daily, support a team-based department, and uphold Montefiore’s commitment to excellent patient service and outcomes. This position offers the option of a 4- or 5-day workweek with day shifts.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Masters Degree is preferred.
• New York State license and current registration or a limited permit for a recent graduate is required.
• Knowledge of General Therapeutic Equipment.
• General computer literacy is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including evaluation and treatment as outlined by the NYS Physical Therapy Practice Act and Hospital policy.
• Provides daily clinical supervision to PTAs, Rehabilitation Aides and students.
• Embraces the team concept of the department and the customer service approach to patient care.
