About this position

The physical therapist evaluates, establishes treatment programs and provides individualized care to customers. The goal of care is to prevent, correct, or alleviate disability, as well as to educate the customer/family about their role in the care plan. Functions as a part of the interdisciplinary treatment team, and collaborates with other caregivers with the goal of providing high quality customer care. Participates in department decision-making, improvement activities, and projects designed to improve customer care standards in the department.

Requirements

Education

  • Baccalaureate, Master's, or Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from an APTA Accredited School of Physical Therapy.
  • Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy required for all candidates hired after June 1, 2014.

Experience

  • Previous work experience in acute care Physical Therapy preferred.
  • Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency (e.g. keyboarding, Microsoft Office) required.

Licensure/Certification

  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist to practice in the state of Minnesota.
  • Must possess current class D driver's license in state of residency with an acceptable driving record if driving to alternate locations.
  • Must provide annual proof of insurance per hospital policy if driving to alternate locations.
  • Current BLS certification or completion of certification during orientation period.

Salary Range: N21 ($35.31 - $52.97), based on experience

Shift Differential: Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked.
