Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville, Virginia seeks a Physical Therapist to evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs across pediatric and adult populations in a Bleeding Disorders Lifespan Clinic. The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and ongoing education in a Magnet-recognized academic medical center.

Successful candidates will have (minimum) 6 months of clinical experience, Virginia licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy with Virginia licensure.
• 6 months relevant clinical experience.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
• Implement therapeutic interventions including exercise, manual therapy, functional training, and modalities
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and injury prevention
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Document patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
• Maintain compliance with all departmental, state, and federal guidelines
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities
• Demonstrate knowledge of intervention options and executes a program of skilled physical therapy intervention.
