Job summary

The Origin Way, Inc. is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist in California to join our team in Berkeley. This role focuses on women’s health and pelvic floor therapy, delivering evidence-based care to support patients’ recovery goals.

You’ll synthesize patient information, perform movement analyses, design individualized plans, and educate patients throughout the recovery journey. A base salary of $80,000–$120,000 with bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in California; experienced therapists and new grads welcome.
• Interest in women’s health and pelvic floor therapy.
• Pelvic floor therapy experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize information from referrals, medical records, imaging, intake forms and history.
• Diagnose movement dysfunction via analysis, anatomy exams, and patient concerns.
• Develop individualized care plans with patient goals and expected outcomes.
• Apply evidence-based interventions to achieve goals (ther ex, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, biofeedback).
• Evaluate and document progress; adjust plans as needed.
• Educate patients on recovery expectations and coping strategies.
• Ensure adherence to the plan and follow up with patients.
• Coordinate with providers to expand access to therapies.

About the role

• Synthesizing pertinent information from a patient's referral, medical records, imaging, intake forms and subjective history taking.
• Diagnosing movement dysfunction via functional movement, posture and gait analysis, internal pelvic floor examinations, objective measurements and listening to patients concerns and goals.
• Using critical thinking to develop individualized plans of care for patients to include the patient's goals and expected outcomes of the plan.
• Utilizing evidence-based interventions such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, biofeedback and other modalities to achieve patients' goals.
• Evaluating and documenting patient progress, utilizing outcomes to drive results and modifying the plan of care as needed.
• Educating patients about what to expect from the recovery process and how to cope with challenges throughout the process
• Following up with patients to ensure better adherence to plan of care
• Connecting with providers and local organizations to increase awareness of therapies provided by the clinic and ensure that as many patients as possible that need care are able to receive it.
• Clinical instruction of at least 1 student rotation per year after the first year of treatment in your specialty area
• Other tasks as assigned

• Result in serving as many patients as possible who need care with high quality physical therapy at Origin
• Facilitation of care that creates meaningful outcomes (in partnership / mentorship with other PTs and/or providers as necessary)

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000, plus bonus
