Community Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is seeking an Acute Physical Therapist for a part-time Baylor shift, Saturday and Sunday 7:00am-5:30pm, at Community Hospital. The role includes direct patient care, care planning, and collaboration with hospital staff.

The position requires a physical therapy degree, CO license, and BLS within 90 days. Compensation ranges hourly with extra paid hours for two 10-hour shifts. In-person onsite work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Current unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Colorado.
• BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and direct patient care across ages; evaluate, plan care, implement treatment, and educate patients/caregivers.

Position Highlights

• Position: Acute Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and directs patient care services to patients of all ages to ensure that patient needs are met. Services include patient evaluation/ assessment, establishing and implementing a plan of care, assessing effectiveness of, and modifying treatment to ensure goal achievement, and educating patients/caregivers.
• Produces quality documentation in a timely manner to support provision of care, according to current standards that are based on professional association and regulatory guidelines.
• Collects and analyzes data from selected outcome measures to monitor patient progress and the benefit of interventions.
• Communicates appropriately and clearly to physicians, staff, and hospital leadership
• Demonstrates an understanding of treatment costs and financial support as they relate to quality and efficiency, including budgeting, staffing, billing/coding, and procedural planning tasks.
• Participates in ongoing professional development to maintain a level of clinical practice consistent with best practice standards. This includes seeking opportunities to gain new knowledge and skills and utilizing these newly acquired skills in the provision of care and for growth and development of the department and hospital.
• Contributes to departmental, hospital, and community activities that promote department operations and program development for Community Hospital.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall effectiveness of the department and the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited program, Doctorate’s degree, preferred.
• Current unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist in the State of Colorado (required)
• BLS Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)

Compensation

• The anticipated compensation range for this position as a Physical Therapist I is $43.00 - $49.45 per hour, commensurate with qualifications, education, experience, and other applicable factors.
• The anticipated compensation range for this position as a Physical Therapist II is $47.00 - $54.05 per hour, commensurate with qualifications, education, experience, and other applicable factors.
• Two 10 hour shifts required, receive a additional 4 extra paid hours.
• This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
• Additional compensation may be available in the form of discretionary incentive or other compensation programs. Any such additional compensation is not guaranteed and is determined at the sole discretion of the organization based on applicable program terms, individual and/or organizational performance, and other eligibility requirements.
