An established healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join their team. Treat patients as directed by a Physical Therapist. Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per PT Board standards. Assist in maintaining the department and participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences as needed. Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area. Implement treatment plans as prescribed by physicians and collaborate with the nursing department for training Restorative Aides. Communicate patient progress, problems, and plans with supervisors and health team members. Participate in staff training programs and record treatment changes according to policies and procedures. Educate patients' families and nursing staff on maintenance and caregiver training in preparation for discharge. Report equipment issues to ensure proper maintenance. Demonstrate positive, effective, and appropriate interactions with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.
This position is non-supervisory.
Requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, talking, and hearing. Occasionally sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Ability to exert significant force to move objects and perform physical tasks. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception with focus adjustment.
