Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to work under the direction of a Physical Therapist in an interdisciplinary setting. The PTA will implement treatment plans, monitor patient responses, and document progress in collaboration with therapists and the care team.

Requirements include a Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program and a current PTA license; CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification
• Current CPR certification, preferred
• Education: Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program
• Experience: 0-1 years

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities.
• Observe patient responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, progress and reports.
• Provide instructions to patients and families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and home progress strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress.
