Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Physical Therapist at St. Joseph Health Burleson Hospital in Texas. You will evaluate patients, develop and update plans of care, and deliver direct therapy to improve function and reduce pain.

Responsibilities include administering therapeutic exercises, educating patients and families, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to meet goals. CPR/BLS within 14 days is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or PTA credential; licensure in Texas or eligibility on hire.
• CPR/BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Administers therapeutic exercises and physical therapy modalities according to the physical therapy plan of care.
• Instructs, motivates and assists patients to learn and improve functional activity, such as pre-ambulation, transfer, ambulation and daily living activities.
• Observes patients during treatments, assesses and reports progress to the physical therapist and physicians as needed.
• Fits patients for, adjusts, and trains in orthopedic braces, prostheses, and assistive devices.
• May perform clerical duties.
• Promotes professional customer service while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient and family needs.
