Job summary

Mercy South Rehab Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in delivering therapy services. The PA will perform delegated PT tasks, document patient progress, and adjust procedures within the established plan while ensuring patient safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree.
• Licensure: Current license to perform as a Physical Therapist Assistant from the Board of Physical Therapy in the applicable State of practice.
• Experience: Physical Therapist Assistant may be entry level.
• Certifications: American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy procedures.
• Document patient progress notes and progress toward goals.
• Modify a treatment procedure within the PT plan as patient status changes.
• Coordinate workload and provide technical direction to the Physical Therapy aide.
