Job summary

EverActive is expanding its assisted living therapy team in the Livonia and Northville area. The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Team Lead will provide hands-on therapy to residents while leading the therapy team across assigned communities.

The role emphasizes collaboration with licensed PTs, leadership development, and a flexible approach to clinical operations. Ideal for PTAs seeking leadership duties while staying engaged in patient care.

Qualifications

• Must hold Michigan PTA license.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Experience in assisted living or senior care preferred.
• Interest in leadership and team development.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality physical therapy services under PT direction.
• Lead and support the therapy team across assigned communities.
• Coordinate day-to-day therapy operations and workflows.
• Collaborate with facility staff and interdisciplinary teams.
• Promote resident safety and functional independence.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance.

EverActive is growing! We're looking for a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Team Lead to join our new assisted living therapy team serving communities in the Livonia and Northville areas!

This is an exciting opportunity for a PTA who enjoys working with older adults, collaborating with a supportive therapy team, and taking on a leadership role while continuing to provide hands‑on patient care.

What You'll Do

• Provide quality physical therapy services to residents in assisted living communities under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Help lead and support the therapy team across assigned communities
• Coordinate day-to-day therapy operations and help maintain smooth workflows
• Collaborate with facility staff and interdisciplinary care teams to support resident needs
• Help promote quality care, resident safety, and functional independence
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with applicable standards
• Serve as a positive resource and role model for fellow team members

What We're Looking For

• Current Michigan Physical Therapist Assistant license
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a larger team
• Interest in leadership, team development, and quality improvement
• Experience in assisted living, senior care, or a similar setting is preferred
• Previous leadership experience is a plus!
