Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dallas is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at a brand-new facility opening this fall. The PTA will provide direct patient care under the Physical Therapist and participate in planning/treatment, with a focus on chronically and critically ill patients in an inpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has inpatient experience or a strong desire to learn, holds a PTA license for the state, and maintains current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic resides is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• One year of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Plan and implement individualized treatment programs.
• Contribute to ongoing development of therapy services within PAM Health.
• Be flexible to meet system needs across multiple facilities.

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of the Physical Therapist, will be primarily responsible for direct patient care, planning and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of Physical Therapy in the PAM Health System. The Physical Therapist Assistant will additionally be involved in the further development of the services. The Physical Therapist Assistant must be flexible to meet the needs of the system within many different facilities.

• Education and Training: PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic resides. Current BLS certification required.
• Experience: One year of clinical experience preferred.
