Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Aiken is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant for a PRN weekend-incentivized role at our brand-new facility in Aiken, SC. The PTA will deliver direct patient care under a PT, participate in treatment planning, and help develop programs for a diverse inpatient population.

Ideal candidates hold a PTA license in SC, have or are pursuing BLS, and bring inpatient experience or a strong willingness to learn in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• PTA license in the state of residence is required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• One year of inpatient clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Plan and implement individualized treatment programs and contribute to service development.

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of the Physical Therapist, will be primarily responsible for direct patient care, planning and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of Physical Therapy in the PAM Health System. The Physical Therapist Assistant will additionally be involved in the further development of the services. The Physical Therapist Assistant must be flexible to meet the needs of the system within many different facilities.

• Education and Training: PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic resides. Current BLS certification required.
• Experience: One year of clinical experience preferred.
