What you will do in this role:
  • Under the guidance of a supervising PT, acquire pertinent information and implement comprehensive treatment programs using varied techniques and activities; review and modify treatment plans based on patient needs; identify equipment and discharge needs.
  • Be aware of patient injury/diagnosis and take necessary precautions observing indications and contraindications.
  • Assist patients in preparation for treatments or modalities as needed.
  • Provide treatment to diverse patient populations and complete supporting documentation according to hospital policy and State Practice Act.
  • Communicate and collaborate with support personnel regarding treatment orders as directed by the supervising PT.
  • Apply physical agents, therapeutic exercises, or gait-training activities as outlined by the licensed PT in the patient's POC. Progress patients appropriately when deemed necessary by the PT.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Previous experience in patient care preferred.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
