Job summary

NHC HomeCare Tallahassee is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our therapy team in Tallahassee, FL. You will work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to provide quality PT services and support patient progress.

Primary responsibilities include assisting evaluation, documenting progress notes, and maintaining patient records in accordance with policies and regulations. We value teamwork, integrity, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate’s Degree from a PTA program.
• Must be licensed in Florida.
• Active membership in state/national PTA associations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services as directed by the physical therapist and ordered by the physician.
• Assists the physical therapist with evaluation of progress toward goals.
• Observes records and reports to the therapist the conditions, reactions and responses related to assigned duties.

Qualifications:

• Must have an Associate’s Degree from a recognized Physical Therapist Assistant Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Must be licensed in the state in which the assistant will be practicing.
• Active member of state and national Physical Therapy Associations preferred.
