Job summary

National HealthCare Corporation (NHC) Hendersonville is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our HomeCare team in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The PTA will work under the supervision of the Physical Therapist to deliver therapy services and support patient progress.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s Degree in PTA, an active license in Tennessee, and a commitment to quality, compassionate care. Experience with home health is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate’s Degree from an APTA-accredited PTA program.
• Must be licensed in the state in which the assistant will be practicing.
• Active member of state and national Physical Therapy Associations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services as directed by the physical therapist and physician orders.
• Assist the physical therapist with evaluation of progress toward goals.
• Observe records and report to the therapist the conditions, reactions and responses related to assigned duties.
• Maintain daily records of treatments and document progress notes as directed.

Qualifications:
