Pay Range: $52.00-$60.00/hr

Responsibilities

The Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA, LPTA) performs treatments, provides exercise instruction, and educates patients to improve their well-being, following the established plan of care.

• Follow all state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care, perform only procedures qualified and trained for, and recommend changes in the plan of care to the supervising PT.
• Instruct and assist patients with active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait, functional activities, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT, nurse, or physician. Coordinate care with healthcare team members as appropriate.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and other team members within the scope of practice of the PTA.

Education and Experience

License Requirements

• Current license, registration, or certification to assist in physical therapy practice in California.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
