Role Responsibilities
  1. Work collaboratively within a team to provide compassionate care in a secure setting.
  2. Implement the patient's Care Plan under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, assisting mentally and/or physically impaired patients in tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance their performance.
  3. Communicate patient progress or issues to supervisors and team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to records.
  4. Document patient care according to regulatory, licensing, payer, and accreditation standards.
  5. Instruct patients' families or nursing staff on follow-through programs.
  6. Maintain equipment and work area in a safe, clean condition.
  7. Adhere to the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, professional standards, and applicable laws.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program culminating in an Associate Degree.
  • Current state licensure as a PTA or equivalent in the states where services are provided.
  • CPR certification (if required).
