Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Pay: $36 per hour

Responsibilities

We seek dedicated employees who champion the Select Medical Way, emphasizing patient-first care, community impact, innovation, quality, and integrity.

You will assist with the delivery of Physical Therapy services, including transportation, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities, following treatment plans and state practice guidelines.

• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs established by the Physical Therapist (PT).
• Assist the PT with therapeutic interventions such as posture training, strengthening, endurance/cardiac training, balance, coordination, joint mobility, pain relief, functional skills, and community re-entry training.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices like canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs.
• Demonstrate proper use of gait, belt, safety awareness, and guarding techniques.
• Order and instruct patients on the use of prescribed equipment.

Qualifications

You should understand patient needs, ensuring patients feel informed, understood, and heard. A passion for high-quality care and problem-solving skills are essential in our dynamic environment.

• Valid state PTA license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by start date.
