Job summary

Hamilton Nursing and Rehab in Detroit, MI is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a Part-Time and/or PRN role. The PTA will help residents improve strength, mobility, balance and independence in a patient-centered, supportive environment.

You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist, provide hands-on interventions, educate residents and caregivers, and monitor progress. Michigan PTA license and BLS required; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Active PTA license in Michigan.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing PT plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Provide hands-on interventions to improve strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and independence.
• Monitor resident progress and inform the PT and care team of changes or concerns.
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and mobility techniques.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical, facility, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with rehab and interdisciplinary teams to support positive resident outcomes.

Hamilton Nursing and Rehab is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Detroit, MI. What You'll Do:

• Assist with implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to improve residents' strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and functional independence
• Monitor resident progress and communicate changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and strategies to support continued progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow all clinical, facility, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation and interdisciplinary teams to support positive resident outcomes
