MedStar Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in Timonium and Perry Hall. The ideal candidate will be a competent physical therapy assistant with the ability to independently apply various treatment approaches and work effectively in a team environment.
The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide physical therapy services including treatment, training, and equipment recommendations under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, in accordance with state practice requirements.

Document and charge for patient care activities, ensuring a clear record of the patient's care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, including ongoing communication.
Manage time effectively, meet productivity expectations, and coordinate schedules for re-evaluations and discharge summaries by a physical therapist.
Complete discharge planning, follow-up care, and equipment needs in collaboration with the supervising physical therapist. Contribute innovative ideas for patient treatment, involve patients and families in education and discharge planning, and provide treatment within plan limits.
Recognize and document changes in patient condition, contribute to treatment plan modifications, and report progress as appropriate.
Pursue continuing education for professional growth, serve as a clinical instructor for students when appropriate.
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure as required for the location.
American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) CPR certification.
This position has a hiring range of $25.35 - $44.55.
