Overview

A great outpatient is looking for an experienced or newly graduated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their growing team for a contract assignment. The PTA works under the supervision of a registered or licensed physical therapist to provide physical treatment procedures that improve mobility and relieve pain caused by disease or injury.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services/interventions under physician orders and PT supervision.
• Implement and modify the patient’s physical therapy plan of treatment under PT supervision.
• Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.
• Utilize treatment techniques such as massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot and cold packs, traction, ultrasound, and other prescribed exercises.

Qualifications

• Earned an associate’s degree from an accredited school.
• Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant or actively pursuing licensure.
• Current CPR certification.
