Job summary

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant in Travelers Rest, SC to support experienced Physical Therapists in high-quality patient care. Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Travelers Rest, SC

We are seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in Travelers Rest, SC. This role works closely with experienced Physical Therapists to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Help the PT in all aspects of patient care
• Under the guidance of the PT, perform therapy techniques and exercises
• Measure and track patient progress, informing PT of all changes
• Provide patients with needed continued care information
• Assist the Physical Therapist in patient handling, treatment, and management
• Carry out techniques and exercises prescribed by the Physical Therapist
• Keep Physical Therapist up-to-date on changes in patient progress
• Help measure and track intervention effectiveness
• Educate the patient on continuing care

Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program (accredited)
• Up-to-date Physical Therapist Assistant license
• Able to create and implement outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation‑setting treatment plans
• Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment
• Must be passionate about helping patients with vestibular, balance, neurological, and fall‑risk issues
• 1+ year(s) of outpatient neuro/ortho center or vestibular rehab experience
• Graduation from an accredited PT program and current PT license in SC
• Must be able to carry out and progress a skilled treatment plan in outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation setting
• Must be self‑motivated with a willingness to learn
• Passion for working with vestibular, balance, neurological, and fall‑risk patient populations
• Prefer at least one year working in outpatient neurological or orthopedic center, or previous vestibular rehab experience
