Job Details
  • Position: Physical Therapy Assistant for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Purpose

Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Physical Therapy services to ensure high-quality resident care, in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Conduct resident screenings and assist in evaluations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans and goals.
  • Perform individual and group treatments, including mobility, strength, balance, gait training, and modalities.
  • Monitor resident responses and modify treatments as needed.
  • Train residents, families, and staff in equipment use.
  • Participate in resident and staff education and quality assurance programs.
  • Complete documentation accurately in the EMR system.
Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice.
  • Commitment to ongoing continuing education and professional development.
