Job summary

AccentCare, Inc. seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Victoria, TX team. Under a licensed PT supervision, you will manage patient caseloads, implement treatment plans, and educate patients and families in home safety and equipment usage.

This full-time position requires PT licensure, CPR, and travel to multiple locations. Responsibilities include documenting interventions, communicating status to supervising therapists, and ensuring care aligns with physician orders and agency

Qualifications

• Associates degree from accredited PT program.
• Valid license to practice Physical Therapy in state of operation.
• Must maintain CPR certification while employed.
• Must be a licensed driver and travel to all locations.
• Ability to educate patients and families on home safety and medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and document treatment per physician orders and policy.
• Record interventions, priorities, and treatment plans.
• Educate and counsel patients to support treatment goals.
• Present patient status and needs to supervising therapist.
• Deliver skilled treatments within agency and payer guidelines.
• Collaborate with team to plan and adjust care as needed.
• Complete daily notes and required forms timely to avoid care interruptions.
• Meet productivity standards and participate in team meetings.

Pay: $81,600 to $99,500 annually based on experience

This position is paid on a per-point basis. The compensation reflected on this posting, is an estimate of annual compensation.Schedule:Full-Time

What You Need to Know

The Physical Therapy Assistant, under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, is responsible for providing treatment to patients, functioning as a member of the interdisciplinary team, provides patient and family education and counseling regarding concerns, planning, implementing and modifying treatment procedures, maintaining appropriate documentation according to policies and procedures and current standards of practice. The Physical Therapist Assistant manages a caseload in conjunction with supervising therapist and in accordance with agency productivity standards,

attends and participates in patient and other conferences and agency in-services as assigned.

If you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you:

• Associates degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy
• Have a valid license, registration, or permit to practice in state of agency operation
• Must possess and maintain valid CPR certification while employed in a clinical role
• Must be a licensed driver who can travel to all business locations
• Be able to implement care plans and communicate any findings or changes in regards to patients back to the Physical Therapist and physician
• Ability to educate patients and their families in basic home safety and medical equipment safety

Responsibilities:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will:

• Provides patient care and documents treatment in accordance with physicians orders, agency policy and patient needs.
• Documents appropriate interventions, approaches, strategies, materials and establishing treatment priorities.
• Provides organized and efficient patient treatment which includes advising, educating and counseling the patient.
• Presents pertinent patient information to supervising therapist and keeps team informed of patient status.
• Provides appropriate skilled treatment to patients according to patient needs and within the parameters set by the agency and payer.
• Seeks and accepts assistance from team members in treatment planning and intervention.
• Accurately documents, completes and submits daily notes, assists with other required forms in a timely manner to prevent interruptions in patient care.
• Meets agency productivity standards and uses work hours efficiently.
• Attends and participates in agency meetings and committees as assigned.
• Appropriately negotiates the patient' s participation in treatment, treatment times and treatment plans.
