Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Home Health

Join Mission Healthcare, a leading provider across seven states, as a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Irvine, CA, covering North Orange County. We are dedicated to delivering compassionate, accountable, respectful, excellent, and service-oriented care (CARES) to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing direct physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist, following the physician’s plan of care.
• Treating patients to relieve pain, restore or develop function, and maintain optimal performance.
• Assisting patients with therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training.
• Utilizing physical agents such as heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage.
• Monitoring and reporting patient reactions and condition changes to the physical therapist and team.
• Instructing patients on the use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices.

Qualifications include:

• Graduation from an accredited PTA program with an associate degree approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current certification or license as required by state law.
• Maintaining current BLS CPR certification.
