Job Duties

Cares for patients of all ages (pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric) and diverse backgrounds including various genders, races, ethnicities, sociopolitical and socioeconomic statuses, marital and sexual preferences, developmental and physical abilities, religions, and nationalities.

Physical Demands
  • Lifting: Occasionally up to 75 lbs. from floor, chair, or bed to stand, 35 lbs. overhead; frequently up to 20 lbs.
  • Transfers: Assist up to 24 times per day.
  • Push/Pull: Moderate force for wheelchairs and equipment.
  • Carrying: Up to 20 lbs. for 100 yards.
  • Fine Motor Skills: Required for treatments and taping.
  • Standing/Walking: Up to 3 hours at a time, 8 hours per day.
  • Sitting: Up to 1 hour at a time, 5 hours per day.
  • Kneeling: Up to 15 minutes at a time, 1 hour per day.
  • Stooping: Up to 15 minutes at a time, 3 hours per day.
  • Driving: Up to 90 minutes at a time, 4 hours per day.
  • Climbing: Up to 5 minutes at a time, 30 minutes per day.
  • Other: Constant talking, hearing, seeing.
  • Environmental Conditions:
  • Location: Therapy Clinic/Hospital
  • Exposure Risks: Bio-hazardous items, blood/body fluids, infectious diseases, outdoor environments, cleaning and pool chemicals, therapy pool environment.
