Job summary

Trilogy Health Services, LLC in Zanesville, OH seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join an interdisciplinary team providing therapeutic interventions under a Physical Therapist.

You will implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, educate patients and families, document responses, and support ongoing rehabilitation. Travel is minimal; licensure and CPR preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required for PTA role.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy and modalities.
• Observes patient responses to therapy, documents progress, and reports findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of patient responses and progress for review by the supervising therapist.
• Provides patients and families with instruction on exercises, safety precautions, and home progress strategies.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Supports therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress with additional observations.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of a Physical Therapist, is responsible for providing therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.

• Implements treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Observes patient responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings and any concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observes and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provides instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
• Supports Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education: Associate Degree
Experience: 0-1 years

Licenses and Certifications

Must have and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification

Current valid CPR certification, preferred

Travel: Yes. Minimally, as required (Typically less than 10%)
