Job summary

Trilogy Health Services, LLC seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Lexington, KY, to support therapists with therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and educating patients and families on exercise techniques and safety. Travel is required occasionally, with education and licensure in good standing.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required and PTA licensure in good standing.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Travel required for duties, typically less than 10%.

• Observes patient responses, documents progress, and reports findings to supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of patient responses and progress.
• Provides instructions to patients and families on exercises, safety, and home progress.
• Supports Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of a Physical Therapist, is responsible for providing therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.

• Implements treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Observes patient responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings and any concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observes and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provides instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
• Supports Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education: Associate Degree

Experience: 0-1 years

Licenses and Certifications

Must have and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification

Current valid CPR certification, preferred

Travel: Yes. Minimally, as required (Typically less than 10%)
