Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Wichita, KS is seeking compassionate Physical Therapy Assistants to join our in-house therapy team in a newly acquired skilled nursing facility. You will work under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist to deliver patient-centered therapy.

This position offers pay in the range of $35-$40 per hour and focuses on planning, organizing, and directing the facility's Physical Therapy Services in accordance with applicable standards.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients according to the treatment plan of care developed by and under the supervision of the Licensed Physical Therapist.
• Communicate with the Physical Therapist any pertinent information concerning patient progress, concerns, and plans.
• Be proficient in therapeutic needs to treat patients based on their presentation and instructions given by the Physical Therapist
• Participate in patient Plan of care meetings if asked by the Director of Rehab.
• Record treatment notes, progress notes, provide objective input for discharge summaries and complete daily billing of services per policy and procedures.

Newly acquired skilled nursing facility is looking for leaders to grow our in-house therapy department! Our family owned and operated long term care facilitator is seeking compassionate and well-versed Physical Therapy Assistants for consideration to add to our growing group of champions. This building is home to a diverse variety of long-term residents, cared for by seasoned staff with low staffing ratios, who are supported by a well-equipped clinical team and Administrator with years of experience in the geriatric field.

Pay Range: $35-40 PER HOUR

The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct our facility's Physical Therapy Services in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be always maintained.
