Summary

We are hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for Home Visits.

The Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) performs treatment, provides exercise instruction, and patient education aimed at improving or enhancing the patient's well-being while following the established plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Follow all state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care, adhering to treatment plans set by the supervising PT, performing only procedures qualified and trained for, and recommending changes to the plan of care as needed.
• Instruct and assist patients with active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait, functional activities, ADL, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and changes to the supervising PT, nurse, or physician. Coordinate care with the healthcare team as appropriate.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members within the scope of practice.

Education and Experience

• Current license, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy in the state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
