Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a Skilled Nursing Facility in Taunton, MA. This 13-week contract (with extension option) offers days and a competitive hourly rate, plus housing and travel stipends for travelers.

New grads are welcome to join and will work under a PT, implementing treatment plans that improve mobility and independence. You’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and receive weekly pay with onboarding support.

Qualifications

• Active PTA license in the state of employment (or ability to obtain).
• Current BLS/CPR Certification (or ability to obtain).
• Current TB test/results.
• Current physical ready for duty (within past year).

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing physical therapy services under the direction of a PT.
• Implement individualized treatment plans to support patient goals.
• Focus on mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and safety techniques.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
