Job summary

Trilogy Health Services in Sumter, SC seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to support rehabilitation under a Physical Therapist’s supervision. You will implement treatment plans, use modalities, and document patient responses.

We are looking for an Associate Degree holder with 0–1 year of experience; CPR preferred. Travel is minimal and teamwork is essential to deliver quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Assists in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists.
• Records patient responses and progress per supervising PT.
• Provides exercise instructions to patients and families.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for patient care.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation and reports concerns.

Qualifications

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of a Physical Therapist, is responsible for providing therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.

• Implements treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Observes patient responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings and any concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observes and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provides instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
• Supports Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Education: Associate Degree
• Experience: 0-1 years

Licenses and Certifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification
• Current valid CPR certification, preferred

Travel

• Travel: Yes. Minimally, as required (Typically less than 10%)
