Additional Information About the Role

The Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital's Therapy & Wellness Center has a PRN opportunity for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Join our team of OT/PT/ST/MT clinicians and support staff dedicated to creating a patient-centered, collaborative culture.

Overview

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is a critical access hospital committed to providing quality healthcare to residents in Crawford, Franklin, and Washington counties.

The hospital offers advanced services including an emergency department, childbirth center, critical care unit, surgical suite, expanded cardiac rehab, and a cancer center. A 22,500 sq ft medical office building hosts primary care and specialty physicians from the St. Louis area.

We also operate four rural health clinics, a comprehensive Therapy and Rehabilitation department, and an award-winning Wound Care Center with hyperbaric chambers.

Therapies are provided at the Sullivan Sports Fitness & Rehabilitation Center, which offers treatments for various injuries and disorders, equipped with a full range of facilities and staff to serve children and adults.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Provides skilled treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician and directed by a licensed physical therapist.

Responsibilities

1. Implement treatment plans developed by licensed physical therapists.
2. Collaborate with physical therapists to assess and update patient care plans, goals, and interventions.
3. Document patient progress and contribute to discharge notes.
4. Assist with clinical fieldwork students under supervision.
5. Report interventions and progress, and contribute to screening and evaluation processes.

• Associate's Degree - PT Assistant
