Job summary

Trilogy Health Services in Indiana is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The role involves implementing treatment plans, observing patient responses, and documenting progress within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include patient and family instruction, collaboration with PTs, and ongoing data recording. A state PTA license and CPR certification are required or preferred, with some travel possible.

Qualifications

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of a Physical Therapist, is responsible for providing therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.

• Implements treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Observes patient responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings and any concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observes and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provides instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
• Supports Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education: Associate DegreeExperience: 0-1 years

Licenses and CertificationsMust have and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification

Current valid CPR certification, preferredTravel: Yes. Minimally, as required (Typically less than 10%)
