Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a hospital setting in Iowa. You will assist the supervising Physical Therapist, conduct sessions to improve strength, balance and mobility, and document patient progress.

The ideal candidate holds a PTA license with at least 1 year of experience, preferably in SNF or geriatric care, and excellent communication. Covid-19 and Flu vaccines are required.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in a hospitalsetting. As a PTA, you will provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, helping residents regain mobility and achieve their highest functional potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Physical Therapist in executing individualized therapy plans for residents.

Conduct therapy sessions aimed at improving strength, balance, and mobility.

Monitor residents’ progress and provide feedback to the Physical Therapist.

Document treatment sessions and maintain accurate patient records.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Current PTA licensure.

1 year of experience.

Experience in a SNF or geriatric care setting is a plus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Covid-19 Vaccine and Flu Vaccine status required.

Contract Role:

36 + hour guarantee

Start Date: ASAP

Contract duration: 13+ weeks can be extended
