Qualifications

Job Summary: The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, provides therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting, adhering to professional standards and ethical practices.

Licenses and Certifications: Must hold and maintain current, valid state PTA licensure or certification. CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications: Education: Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program. Experience: 0-1 years.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans devised by Physical Therapists, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Monitor patient responses, document progress, and communicate findings and concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation related to patient responses and progress.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, safety, and strategies for continued progress at home.
• Assist Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing observations and insights.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
