Job summary

Synchrony Rehab in Loveland, Ohio is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to assist in delivering therapy under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and educate patients and families on exercises and safety.

The ideal candidate has a PTA degree, state licensure, and CPR certification (preferred). This is a full-time on-site role with a supportive team and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree in PTA from an accredited program.
• Must hold current PTA license or certification.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience: 0-1 years.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities.
• Observe patient responses to therapy and report progress to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients' responses to therapy.
• Provide instructions to patients and families on exercises and safety precautions.
• Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of a Physical Therapist, is responsible for providing therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.

Licenses and Certifications

Must have and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification

Current valid CPR certification, preferred

Education: Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program

• Observe patient responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings and any concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients' responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
• Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
