We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team at WHITE POINT CARE CENTER LLC in San Pedro, CA. The successful candidate will work closely with our Rehabilitation Director and Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitation services to our patients. As a PTA, you will be responsible for administering treatment and rehabilitation services, conducting exercises with patients, and monitoring and documenting treatment results.
Administer treatment and rehabilitation services to patients with injuries or disabilities
Conduct exercises with residents in accordance with treatment plans
Follow treatment instructions given by the supervising Physical Therapist and adhere to physical medicine practice standards
Evaluate treatment effects, discuss observations with staff and Physical Therapist, and monitor and document resident treatment and responses
Contribute to creating a teaching plan based on identified learning needs, assess teaching effectiveness, involve family when necessary, and inform staff and Physical Therapist of outcomes
CPR Certification is mandatory
Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant is a must
Preferably 1-2 years of experience in long-term care
Good physical and mental health are required
Capable of meeting physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 40 pounds unassisted
Proficient in following oral and written instructions
Possess training, knowledge, and experience for general supervision of responsibilities
The Physical Therapist Assistant reports to the Rehabilitation Director.
