Role Responsibilities:

• Under the supervision of a licensed PT, acquire relevant information and implement treatment programs using various techniques; adjust treatments based on patient progress; identify equipment and discharge needs.
• Be aware of patient injuries/diagnoses and observe necessary precautions regarding indications and contraindications.
• Assist patients in preparing for treatments and modalities as needed.
• Provide treatment to diverse patient populations and complete documentation in accordance with hospital policies and state regulations.
• Collaborate with support staff regarding treatment plans as directed by the supervising PT.
• Apply physical agents, therapeutic exercises, or gait training activities as outlined by the licensed PT, progressing patients appropriately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Previous patient care experience preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification
