Job summary

Florida Orthopaedic Institute is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant in Land O' Lakes, Florida. As a PTA, you will provide outpatient therapy and rehabilitation under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Duties include patient assessments, exercise instruction, documentation of treatment, and teamwork with the therapy team. What You’ll Do

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you’ll play a key role in outpatient therapy, sports medicine, and physical rehabilitation. Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, you’ll help patients recover from orthopaedic injuries, post-surgical procedures, and musculoskeletal conditions.

Day-to-day Responsibilities Include

• Providing individualized patient treatments as outlined in the Physical Therapist’s plan of care.
• Documenting each visit with treatment notes, progress updates, and patient assessments.
• Instructing patients in exercise programs, proper body mechanics, and safe use of assistive devices.
• Guiding patients through gait training and mobility exercises.
• Communicating patient status changes promptly to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Serving as a clinical instructor and mentor for PTA students.
• Supporting the therapy team and clinic operations as needed.

About You

Required Qualifications

Preferred Experience (a Plus, Not Required)

Outpatient orthopaedic or sports medicine therapy experience.
