Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in the treatment and evaluation of residents.
• Brief residents on procedures involved in physical therapy and prepare necessary equipment.
• Assist in transporting residents to and from therapy.
• Perform physical therapy in the residents' rooms as necessary and encourage residents to perform and/or participate in ADL functions.
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment.
• Always exercise courtesy whenever residents, family members, and visitors are present.
• Demonstrate pride in Valley View by keeping areas clean and safe.
• Demonstrate ongoing responsibility and commitment through good attendance and punctuality.
• Respect the privacy and dignity of residents.
