Position Overview

We are seekinga compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)to deliver supportive rehabilitative care inhospice settings. This role is focused on enhancing comfort, maintaining mobility, and improving quality of life for patients with terminal illnesses. If you're passionate about holistic, patient-centered care, this is your opportunity to make a lasting and meaningful difference. This position pays $35.00 per visit.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobility and functional assessments with a focus on comfort and safety
• Develop (PT) and assist in implementing (PTA) individualized care plans that align with hospice goals
• Deliver gentle therapeutic techniques to reduce pain and improve quality of life
• Educate caregivers on proper positioning, transfers, and mobility techniques
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary hospice team, including nurses, social workers, and physicians
• Document treatment and patient response in accordance with regulatory and facility guidelines

Requirements –

• Active Mississippi PTA License
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA required (hospice experience preferred)
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
