Job summary

AvaMed Workforce in California is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a full-time assignment at a skilled nursing facility in Clearlake.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 8am–4:30pm; 40 hours per week. Rate: $50/hr. Weekly pay. NEW GRADs WELCOME.

You will assist with patient care, implement treatment plans under supervision, monitor progress, use devices such as walkers and electrical stimulation, educate patients and families, and maintain accurate documentation of sessions and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by PTs, including exercises, stretching, and gait/balance training.
• Observe, record, and report a patient's progress and response to treatment before, during, and after therapy.
• Use devices such as walkers, canes, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation to aid treatment.
• Instruct patients and family members on in-home exercises and wellness strategies.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant records of all treatment sessions and patient outcomes.
