Job summary

Ultimate Therapy is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team at Autumn Lake in Chevy Chase, MD. This full-time position offers opportunities to help residents improve mobility and regain independence in a skilled nursing and post-acute care setting.

As a PTA you will work under a licensed Physical Therapist, support gait training and strengthening, and document progress to aid care planning. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred but not required.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with gait training, balance, transfers, strengthening exercises, and functional mobility.
• Carry out individualized treatment plans and monitor resident progress.
• Communicate changes in resident status with the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team.
• Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and safe mobility techniques.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with PT, OT, SLP, nursing staff, and physicians to provide high-quality resident care.
