NovaCare Rehabilitation in Waterford, MI is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant for outpatient PRN coverage on our orthopedic team. This role requires travel across the Detroit area and a Mon-Fri schedule with potential transition to full-time as caseload grows.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient PT services for patients, caregivers and facilities with minimal supervision.
• Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients to foster relationships.

Location: 7180 Highland Rd, Waterford, MI 48327 (Must be able to travel anywhere in the Detroit area)

Schedule: PRN Mon-Fri (Transition to Full-Time as caseload increases)

Compensation: Depends on experience

We are seeking an outpatient PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient orthopedic team. This role is ideal for a licensed PTA with outpatient experience who values work-life balance. We’ll pair our coverage needs with your availability to create a schedule that works for you.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by the State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principles and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
• Maintain a positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by CAPTE
• Valid state PTA license (or license in process)
• CPR certification
